1. Scope
This policy applies to all use of takedowns — web app, APIs, integrations, and any automation you run against the service. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited content
- Content depicting the sexual abuse of children. We report suspected CSAM to NCMEC and the relevant national authority without notice.
- Content you do not have the legal right to act on.
- Content that is not, in fact, your work or the work of someone you represent with documented consent.
- Defamatory, harassing, or doxxing material — takedowns is for takedowns of unauthorised intimate material, not for any other dispute.
3. Prohibited behaviour
- Attempting to access another user's case folder.
- Running unauthorised scraping or load testing against the API.
- Circumventing rate limits or seat limits.
- Using takedowns to send mass notices against content that is not genuinely infringing.
- Reverse-engineering the perceptual fingerprinting system to evade it.
4. Enforcement
We investigate suspected violations. If we find one, we may warn, suspend, or terminate the account, depending on severity. Repeat infringers of intellectual property rights will have their accounts terminated. We cooperate with law enforcement for criminal matters.
5. Reporting violations
If you believe an account is violating this policy, email our team with the subject line "AUP report". Include the account identifier, a description of the behaviour, and any evidence you have.
6. Appeals
If we suspend or terminate your account, you can appeal by replying to the suspension email within 30 days. A human will review.
